Helping others take better care of themselves
I've long focused on helping others take better care of themselves in every way they can. It is my inherent knowing, life is meant to be fully embraced and enjoyed. There is profound importance in living each day to the best of our ability. This means making time to nurture our ‘self’.
How we eat is a very powerful expression of how we feel about ourselves and the world around us.
Influenced over the years by many great teachers including Dr Wayne Dyer, Shakti Gawain, Lao Tzu, Dr Christiane Northrup, Dr Neal Barnard, De Elson Haas, Ram Dass, Deepak Choprah, Dr T. Michael Collins; Michael Pollan: Mark Occiphinti, Dean Ornish, Bruce Lipton, Dr Michael Greger and endless others including my remarkable parents, I’ve learned there are many paths to promoting well-being. Living a balanced lifestyle, staying present, conscious and compassionate and consuming whole ‘real’ foods with gratitude and joy is imperative.
Your body is talking to you
Each of us needs to relearn how to listen to our body and honor the conversation it has with us in a language of symptoms such as: chronic fatigue, depleted energy levels, mood swings, high blood pressure/ blood sugar/ cholesterol, digestive disorders, cravings, headaches, excess weight, arthritis, etc. Responding accordingly, we can overcome chronic illness, accelerated aging, weight challenges, hormonal imbalances and more. I can help you do this by showing you how to tune in to what and how we feel, identify potential health inhibitors and deal with the causes rather than simply silencing or abating the symptoms. Treatment alone is not the path to healing. Lifestyles need to shift.
Nourishing your body…and nourish your life
Living a balanced life and nourishing yourself with nutrient-rich foods from a rainbow of colors and a full spectrum of tastes is imperative to your health. This involves taking time to shop for, prepare, share and enjoy ‘real food’, consciously consuming your meals – meals made from living food not factories. Each of us has our own nutritional needs and no one dietary approach out there will ever fit all.
What drives me
With a romantic passion to live life fully, my long-time mission and drive is inspiring and enabling others to embrace and sustain truly self-honoring, loving, conscious, healthy lifestyles. I do this with eclectic combinations of proven psychological and actual practices gathered in my over 30 plus years as a lifestyle wellness coach who walks her talk.
My own life has had many very tragic happenings along the way including the loss of my parents to a drunk driver, two cousins in a carbon monoxide poisoning, my uncle in a fire, his son in a car crash, my sister in law and nephew to suicide, my brother at 48 to a heart attack and more. I’ve dealt with the loss of my home to a fraud artist, my own cancer scare and divorce. Every challenge brought me to my knees while engraving acceptance, gratitude, strength, faith, hope and trust upon my heart.
My keynotes, workshops and programs enable people to shift age-old habits of thinking and behaving, and implement strategies that result in sustainable success in all aspects of their life.
